Future Mrs.Deamer

Hey all: my girrllll bryn got ENGAGED!! And I could not be more excited for her.
Below are some pictures of the proposal and such..

Chase and I hid out and took some pictures of their happy love. Sadly: I have yet to learn many things about my new lens and my old one is broke broke, so I didn't get as many photos as I wanted...but I did promise them I would be much better by their wedding and take a bajillion photos then.
So their perspectives of this event are much more important than mine (obviously...) but since I'm the one bloggin this, here you go.
Taylor contacted me via Instagram 10 minutes before I sent him a message on Facebook asking about the proposal he had planned. Talk about brain waves. Plans changed little by little during the week, and the day of it was snowy so he re-planned around that as well. He told us to be at the Grand America before they were and to hide out in the courtyard.
Above is a random crooked picture so you get the idea...

We walked in and HOLY BEAUTIFUL winter wonderland. It is a gorgeous place and the courtyard is perfect. ALMOST PERFECT. We had never been there before and I quickly realized there was nowhere to hide...no large trees..and the entire court is surrounded with windows. PANIC PANIC.
Chase and I thought about what Taylor had told us about the gingerbread house, and assumed he would probably take bryndee to see it. So naturally we hid on the other side and ducked down as far as we could next to a concrete ledge.

Here is a pic of us trying to look grungy to avoid detection...and right before we armed crawled on wet pavement and looked even grungier.
The bad news? remember all the windows looking into the courtyard. Taylor and Bryn walked RIGHT PAST US. and I panicked. I started running the opposite direction and yelled RUN. probably not the best idea I've ever had. Finally they came walking out towards the christmas tree.
Then more panic as I started taking pictures and Taylor wasn't getting down on his knee. I looked and chase and mouthed "WHAT IS GOING ON?!??!!" I'm bad at mouthing words, shout out to chase for even kind of understanding me. He could see a huge family group just waiting by the tree.
Ok..this family was there like 20 minutes before Bryn and Taylor even came out and they were just moseying around RUINING THIS PROPOSAL. needed less to say chase and I were very angry at this family who does not even know we exist.

This is chase hiding behind me taking a video as I took some pics.
and then IT HAPPENED. Boy got down on one knee and it was beautiful.
And she said yes. But I'm guessing you knew that.
And then we walked around and took some pictures of these newly engaged love birds. Here are some for your viewing pleasure.
^^Stunning ring...and it's rose gold. So Bryndee. SO SHINY. ^^
This last one is probably my favorite. I'm into candids but I mean how candid can you be when someone is following you around after you get engaged? Already stoked for this wedding.
Here's a blurry and tiny video.
So glad I was able to be roommates with this beeb, and that she's starting her life with Taylor soon!
And to celebrate here is a really awkward picture of us wearing similar jackets. #210ROOMMATES4LYFE

Our First Christmas: A Video

Title is self explanatory and this is mostly a video for us as I'm not sure how many people really want to watch a fast forward of us putting up a tree....but here it is! And to be fair we do dance a little and stuff so I guess it's not JUST putting up a tree. ;)

Holiday Red: Liquid to Matte Lipstick

Hi friends! So I knew I wanted to get a holiday makeup favorite in before Christmas, and kind of combined it with my love for liquid-to-matte lipsticks. I love them. A lot. I am a matte girl already, but I know how people hate the texture of rubbing a chalk-like lipstick against their lips. Solution: liquid-to-matte.
I feel like they apply better and last forever!
And here's an uncomfortably large picture of my face...
Ok I will admit though: they won't last through EVERYTHING. Here is a little list to give you an idea:
They will last through:
-Eating certain foods: noodles, drinks, things you don't stuff your face into
-Kissing: like a peck kissing, don't get crazy
-Walking around all day. Yeah- they're not gonna wear AT ALL
They will NOT last through:
-Red Robin burgers. I learned the hard way. But even then they don't come off all the way, they just
come off in the middle, which is not always a cute look.
-Making out. Listen here: if you plan on mackin on someone, NEVER wear red lipstick: I don't care if it's matte or not. It's gonna be a mess.
-The shower (obviously). And yet you will have to really scrub those babies to get your lipstick off.

( I really don't know what else to put in this space to separate text except more lipstick pics.. so here ya go.)
I happen to be wearing 2 of limecrime's shades: red velvet and wicked. I actually wore wicked for my bridal pictures and, at the time, didn't have red velvet, so I put a little ruby woo in the middle. But man I love liquid-to-mattes so I broke down, bought red velvet and never looked back. I actually find it's more flattering on me than ruby woo is.
If you're like me and a weird shade you might have a hard time wearing a bright blue-based lipstick as well. I combine these shades and I find my perfect mix! Although I love wicked on its own too: it's just pretty dark.

Now you might be thinking: "Ok, where do I buy it?" and, "How much is this biz gonna cost?". Well here are your answers friend.
These specific shades can be found on the LIMECRIME website, for 25 bucks, and they're out of stock currently. ORRRR (here's the fun part) I found another liquid-to-matte I love. KAT VON D. I kept looking for a dupe so I wouldn't have to pay shipping costs and such and Kat Von D is a genius. Her everlasting liquid lipsticks are just as good as, or BETTER than, lime crimes. And yes. I will be buying those in the future. I already have several of the shades on my wish list.
Below are the shades that are pretty much the exact same...

Oh and BEST news: the Kat Von D lipsticks are 19 dollars instead of 25, and can be found at your local Sephora (most times). Yes. It is a glorious thing. You can find them at SEPHORA online if they don't carry them in your local store.

NOW you may be thinking, "I've never worn liquid-to-matte lipsticks. How does it work?" or you're thinking, "I'm hungry, why am I still reading this?" Turns out I can only answer the first. Maybe you should get a snack.

In the video I posted below, I did use a lip brush, but you don't need to. I just find the lime crime brushes don't give a sharpness to my liking, but that's all I had when I first bought wicked, so it can be done for sure. If you do want to pick up a lip brush, you can buy them at Sephora between 10-20 dollars. (But hey, if you're gonna spend 20 bucks on a brush, just pick up an occ lip tar and they come with a free brush. Always get the most for your money!)
I'm done rambling: here's my first ever video. It's pretty sketchy, and you'll see a part where I show how shaky my hands are, so you understand why it looked a little janky.

OH! and before I forget: I personally think it's better to layer than to try and throw on a ton of product at once: you might end of with a lot of smearing and mess if you do that. So don't be afraid to start out with a little and build up.
BUMP UP THE VIDEO QUALITY YO

I hope you can grab some red lips for a christmas party, some family pics, or just for fun! They are one of my staple looks for sure: A red lip never goes out of style.
Happy Lipsticking! (now a word)

Thanksgiving Week

ah...Thanksgiving. I  love this holiday because as you all know I love to stuff my face with food. just kidding. (not kidding at all) but I really do love a time when people take time to realize all the blessing they have. This year has been a crazy one, but I am truly blessed beyond what I deserve.

I decided to just combine the whole week because 1. I take a lot of pictures and never post 1/3 of them to social media and 2. because I forgot my SD card thanksgiving day. yes. I really did bring my camera and 2 lenses and failed to bring an SD card. I don't want to talk about it...lest I cry.

Chase's sister McKae stayed with us that week after we picked her up from Saint George. She was a good sport having to sleep on our tiny and somewhat uncomfortable couch. I searched all over a few days before for a good sushi place to go to with my roommates. we went to cheesecake factory. obviously I was successful...

But turns out I really was! because we found fat fish and it is NOMS. let me tell you, I don't really like sushi, so this is a big deal. Chase wanted to weep tears of joy I'm sure because it's his favorite food ever.
They have super cheap sushi: I mean look at this. (but don't look to hard because its kind of awful quality..)
I will probably post about this more later, because I have other things to post about. sorry.
We put up the tree on Wednesday because WE CAN (christmas haters), but that will be it's own post as well.
This is the only picture I got on thanksgiving day. Obviously my priorities are in order since there are no pictures of people.
Chase ate like a tiny bird while I walked in there like:
Needless to say, I had seconds. Someone stop me.

I was definitely missing black friday shopping with my family. They are the masters. And there is just something about walking around the mall at 3 am with a bajallion people that is so wrong but feels so right.

But chase and I went the next morning....probably because all night I was like:
Maybe I can slowly condition him into loving black friday...

I was able to do a little of Shaunessy's makeup and take a few pictures of her too! She was an awesome model, and chase followed us around. He must have just loved this week so much.
^^ This happens to be one of my favorites^^

We ran home from pictures and drove to bountiful: McKae went through the bountiful temple while she was here and we were about to go too! It was gorgeous, and a wonderful time (minus being sick and sniffling the whole time. sorry to everyone who was in that session)
and finally a Hatches stop. I was stoked when Chase's sister first took us here. I think I'm the only one who remembers the show TLC had for about 5 seconds called "The little Chocolatiers". Here's a LINK, and if you remember this PROPS TO YOU, because I was so excited when I realized this is their chocolate shop. I mean they were on tv making chocolate. *fame*

McKae suggested we get the hot chocolate there: I looked it up. It's straight up melted chocolate and milk. Thats it. I felt like I was in the willy wonka movie. I don't even like chocolate all the much (I know. everyone hates this fact) but I still loved it.
Basically this was an awesome week of doing things I love: shopping, eating, taking pictures, doing makeup and hanging out with family. Till next Thanksgiving, stay thankful y'all.
