Future Mrs.Deamer

Hey all: my girrllll bryn got ENGAGED!! And I could not be more excited for her.
Below are some pictures of the proposal and such..

Chase and I hid out and took some pictures of their happy love. Sadly: I have yet to learn many things about my new lens and my old one is broke broke, so I didn't get as many photos as I wanted...but I did promise them I would be much better by their wedding and take a bajillion photos then.
So their perspectives of this event are much more important than mine (obviously...) but since I'm the one bloggin this, here you go.
Taylor contacted me via Instagram 10 minutes before I sent him a message on Facebook asking about the proposal he had planned. Talk about brain waves. Plans changed little by little during the week, and the day of it was snowy so he re-planned around that as well. He told us to be at the Grand America before they were and to hide out in the courtyard.
Above is a random crooked picture so you get the idea...

We walked in and HOLY BEAUTIFUL winter wonderland. It is a gorgeous place and the courtyard is perfect. ALMOST PERFECT. We had never been there before and I quickly realized there was nowhere to hide...no large trees..and the entire court is surrounded with windows. PANIC PANIC.
Chase and I thought about what Taylor had told us about the gingerbread house, and assumed he would probably take bryndee to see it. So naturally we hid on the other side and ducked down as far as we could next to a concrete ledge.

Here is a pic of us trying to look grungy to avoid detection...and right before we armed crawled on wet pavement and looked even grungier.
The bad news? remember all the windows looking into the courtyard. Taylor and Bryn walked RIGHT PAST US. and I panicked. I started running the opposite direction and yelled RUN. probably not the best idea I've ever had. Finally they came walking out towards the christmas tree.
Then more panic as I started taking pictures and Taylor wasn't getting down on his knee. I looked and chase and mouthed "WHAT IS GOING ON?!??!!" I'm bad at mouthing words, shout out to chase for even kind of understanding me. He could see a huge family group just waiting by the tree.
Ok..this family was there like 20 minutes before Bryn and Taylor even came out and they were just moseying around RUINING THIS PROPOSAL. needed less to say chase and I were very angry at this family who does not even know we exist.

This is chase hiding behind me taking a video as I took some pics.
and then IT HAPPENED. Boy got down on one knee and it was beautiful.
And she said yes. But I'm guessing you knew that.
And then we walked around and took some pictures of these newly engaged love birds. Here are some for your viewing pleasure.
^^Stunning ring...and it's rose gold. So Bryndee. SO SHINY. ^^
This last one is probably my favorite. I'm into candids but I mean how candid can you be when someone is following you around after you get engaged? Already stoked for this wedding.
Here's a blurry and tiny video.
So glad I was able to be roommates with this beeb, and that she's starting her life with Taylor soon!
And to celebrate here is a really awkward picture of us wearing similar jackets. #210ROOMMATES4LYFE

Our First Christmas: A Video

Title is self explanatory and this is mostly a video for us as I'm not sure how many people really want to watch a fast forward of us putting up a tree....but here it is! And to be fair we do dance a little and stuff so I guess it's not JUST putting up a tree. ;)

Holiday Red: Liquid to Matte Lipstick

Hi friends! So I knew I wanted to get a holiday makeup favorite in before Christmas, and kind of combined it with my love for liquid-to-matte lipsticks. I love them. A lot. I am a matte girl already, but I know how people hate the texture of rubbing a chalk-like lipstick against their lips. Solution: liquid-to-matte.
I feel like they apply better and last forever!
And here's an uncomfortably large picture of my face...
Ok I will admit though: they won't last through EVERYTHING. Here is a little list to give you an idea:
They will last through:
-Eating certain foods: noodles, drinks, things you don't stuff your face into
-Kissing: like a peck kissing, don't get crazy
-Walking around all day. Yeah- they're not gonna wear AT ALL
They will NOT last through:
-Red Robin burgers. I learned the hard way. But even then they don't come off all the way, they just
come off in the middle, which is not always a cute look.
-Making out. Listen here: if you plan on mackin on someone, NEVER wear red lipstick: I don't care if it's matte or not. It's gonna be a mess.
-The shower (obviously). And yet you will have to really scrub those babies to get your lipstick off.

( I really don't know what else to put in this space to separate text except more lipstick pics.. so here ya go.)
I happen to be wearing 2 of limecrime's shades: red velvet and wicked. I actually wore wicked for my bridal pictures and, at the time, didn't have red velvet, so I put a little ruby woo in the middle. But man I love liquid-to-mattes so I broke down, bought red velvet and never looked back. I actually find it's more flattering on me than ruby woo is.
If you're like me and a weird shade you might have a hard time wearing a bright blue-based lipstick as well. I combine these shades and I find my perfect mix! Although I love wicked on its own too: it's just pretty dark.

Now you might be thinking: "Ok, where do I buy it?" and, "How much is this biz gonna cost?". Well here are your answers friend.
These specific shades can be found on the LIMECRIME website, for 25 bucks, and they're out of stock currently. ORRRR (here's the fun part) I found another liquid-to-matte I love. KAT VON D. I kept looking for a dupe so I wouldn't have to pay shipping costs and such and Kat Von D is a genius. Her everlasting liquid lipsticks are just as good as, or BETTER than, lime crimes. And yes. I will be buying those in the future. I already have several of the shades on my wish list.
Below are the shades that are pretty much the exact same...

Oh and BEST news: the Kat Von D lipsticks are 19 dollars instead of 25, and can be found at your local Sephora (most times). Yes. It is a glorious thing. You can find them at SEPHORA online if they don't carry them in your local store.

NOW you may be thinking, "I've never worn liquid-to-matte lipsticks. How does it work?" or you're thinking, "I'm hungry, why am I still reading this?" Turns out I can only answer the first. Maybe you should get a snack.

In the video I posted below, I did use a lip brush, but you don't need to. I just find the lime crime brushes don't give a sharpness to my liking, but that's all I had when I first bought wicked, so it can be done for sure. If you do want to pick up a lip brush, you can buy them at Sephora between 10-20 dollars. (But hey, if you're gonna spend 20 bucks on a brush, just pick up an occ lip tar and they come with a free brush. Always get the most for your money!)
I'm done rambling: here's my first ever video. It's pretty sketchy, and you'll see a part where I show how shaky my hands are, so you understand why it looked a little janky.

OH! and before I forget: I personally think it's better to layer than to try and throw on a ton of product at once: you might end of with a lot of smearing and mess if you do that. So don't be afraid to start out with a little and build up.
BUMP UP THE VIDEO QUALITY YO

I hope you can grab some red lips for a christmas party, some family pics, or just for fun! They are one of my staple looks for sure: A red lip never goes out of style.
Happy Lipsticking! (now a word)

Thanksgiving Week

ah...Thanksgiving. I  love this holiday because as you all know I love to stuff my face with food. just kidding. (not kidding at all) but I really do love a time when people take time to realize all the blessing they have. This year has been a crazy one, but I am truly blessed beyond what I deserve.

I decided to just combine the whole week because 1. I take a lot of pictures and never post 1/3 of them to social media and 2. because I forgot my SD card thanksgiving day. yes. I really did bring my camera and 2 lenses and failed to bring an SD card. I don't want to talk about it...lest I cry.

Chase's sister McKae stayed with us that week after we picked her up from Saint George. She was a good sport having to sleep on our tiny and somewhat uncomfortable couch. I searched all over a few days before for a good sushi place to go to with my roommates. we went to cheesecake factory. obviously I was successful...

But turns out I really was! because we found fat fish and it is NOMS. let me tell you, I don't really like sushi, so this is a big deal. Chase wanted to weep tears of joy I'm sure because it's his favorite food ever.
They have super cheap sushi: I mean look at this. (but don't look to hard because its kind of awful quality..)
I will probably post about this more later, because I have other things to post about. sorry.
We put up the tree on Wednesday because WE CAN (christmas haters), but that will be it's own post as well.
This is the only picture I got on thanksgiving day. Obviously my priorities are in order since there are no pictures of people.
Chase ate like a tiny bird while I walked in there like:
Needless to say, I had seconds. Someone stop me.

I was definitely missing black friday shopping with my family. They are the masters. And there is just something about walking around the mall at 3 am with a bajallion people that is so wrong but feels so right.

But chase and I went the next morning....probably because all night I was like:
Maybe I can slowly condition him into loving black friday...

I was able to do a little of Shaunessy's makeup and take a few pictures of her too! She was an awesome model, and chase followed us around. He must have just loved this week so much.
^^ This happens to be one of my favorites^^

We ran home from pictures and drove to bountiful: McKae went through the bountiful temple while she was here and we were about to go too! It was gorgeous, and a wonderful time (minus being sick and sniffling the whole time. sorry to everyone who was in that session)
and finally a Hatches stop. I was stoked when Chase's sister first took us here. I think I'm the only one who remembers the show TLC had for about 5 seconds called "The little Chocolatiers". Here's a LINK, and if you remember this PROPS TO YOU, because I was so excited when I realized this is their chocolate shop. I mean they were on tv making chocolate. *fame*

McKae suggested we get the hot chocolate there: I looked it up. It's straight up melted chocolate and milk. Thats it. I felt like I was in the willy wonka movie. I don't even like chocolate all the much (I know. everyone hates this fact) but I still loved it.
Basically this was an awesome week of doing things I love: shopping, eating, taking pictures, doing makeup and hanging out with family. Till next Thanksgiving, stay thankful y'all.

Smokey eye: Plums

Hello there my friends of the internet- I've decided to post this bad boy online. I accidentally came upon this look ( which is how I come across most of these looks to be honest) but it seemed to work out alright. Its not a whole eye look (sometimes I do that and It looks like I was punched.

If you've ever asked me what my favorite palette is, I have told you LORAC, LORAC, LORAC. I will attempt to make a video on this sometime. I used both one and two for this look- but you really could use the pro palette 2.

1: I used lt. brown and taupe with a big fluffy brush in the crease of my eyelid, windshield wiper motion
2: made it a little deeper in the crease with sable using a mac 217 brush. I'm not sure this step is completely necessary.
3: this step is important! I used nyx black bean jumbo pencil and smudged a little bit off it next to my lash line. Using a shader brush (flat brush much like with comes with a naked palette) and press plum into the crease. press most product close to the lash line and smaller and smaller amounts as you approach your eye crease.
4: I chose to repeat the pressing motion of step 4 with deep purple. its a darker shade and has little bits of glitter in it. I'm a fan.
you can continue to build color with the purple shades as many times as you need- I did blend my crease with a light brown in between each repeat, as not to have harsh lines
5: with the tip of the shader brush use either black (they're the same) and press little amounts very close to the lash line- and blend! if you want it more black than purple, add more bits of black but always blend it out!
6:I almost always finish my eyes by blending white and cream from the pro palette 1 and putting that product on my brow bone, under my brow arch.
*7: blend those brown colors under the eye with a pencil brush. I didn't do a ton because I have some major raccoon circles, but the smokier you want to make it, go for it! You can use some black in the outer corner of the eye. just don't forget to blend!

And that's all there is to it! I'm really hoping to make videos soon, or maybe little clips. I think it would make it much more clear- do you agree with me? Just don't judge my weirdness if I decide to make them...
Hair: a bit of a throwback to my sophomore year of high school when I used a small Ginalli wand on pretty much every drill team girls hair. You can find those wands HERE.

Lips are Mac Velvet Teddy
If you have any questions- ask away! Let's talk hair and makeup my friends!

I hate daylight savings: & other confessions

I write this as if people truly cared about the random things that make up my life: but why not.
Im stuck in this weird limbo where I want to post fun, cool, useful things all the time- and feeling like everything I post is irrelevant and I post way too much. Maybe I'l just start posting whatever I want, because If I waited for something relevant I would never post. (oh wait. maybe that's why I never post..?)

On other note I hate daylight savings so much. Ok, fall daylight savings time. The sun sets at 5 pm. Am I the only one who feels like that is the worst thing ever? Where did the sun even go?

2: I have listened to taylor swift's "Blank Space" so many times I can't even count. And it is probably the best song to lip sync to. And I don't even care that I'm starting sentences with "AND" (does that technically count as confession 2?)

3: I followed all my favorite buzz feed people on Facebook and stalked them. I feel no shame. I rotate this out, but I think Ashley and Eugene are my favorites. Oh and Keith...man. too many favorites. I will let myself feel no shame for stalking hilarious people.

4: I was super excited to pass out candy to little kids on halloween, and as soon as the first one came to the door, I hid and made chase pass out the candy. I have no idea why holidays stress me out so much. Don't worry though, by the end of the night I was passing out the candy.

5: My one on one conversations with people have become painfully awkward, as I have somehow lost all social skills. THIS is not something I am proud of.

6: Chase and I shamelessly drop everything when we see a dog and yell DOGE. (sometimes in a whisper tone, as to not freak out owners of said dogs) It's like we never see dogs or something- but really it's because we want a dog so badly.

7: I make babies sloth noises. Like this. I'm embarrassed, but not enough to stop doing it...obviously.
(also, that's one of my favorite videos ever)

8: I'm addicted to mystery teen novels. Easy reads, so much angst. There's something about it that keeps me coming back. recently read : Cryer's Cross

9: I don't think I like fall as much as other people do. I like it for about a month (the month where it's still 75 to 80 degrees and a few trees change colors. When everyones like "WEEEE! sweater weather!" I'm sitting there wishing a sweater was optional. I know- I'm a buzzkill.

10: I want a cheeto costume like Katy Perrys. SO BAD. I would wear it all the time. Ok, maybe not ALL the time, but probably more than I should.

Autumn Eyes

Well, this is officially my first makeup post! I've been going back and forth about doing them at all since I feel like I'm not quite experienced enough: but I've had family and friends as me more and more lately for random tips or things I love. I thought why not then? I like learning random tips and tricks from people and most importantly: products they run into that they love.

I thought I would do one look so far, and maybe a favorites post: regarding products, brushes and such. Kinda depends on if people want to read this. I had thought about doing some youtube videos but I'm on the fence. I just know I like watching videos better.

Below are the shadows I used for this. I did use 9- I don't think you really need that many but I was just messing around with makeup when I did this so I ended up piling them on!
1. Peach smoothie     2. Crème Brulee     3. 11
4. Latte      5. Swiss Chocolate     6. Mocha
7. 47    8. Glamorous     9. 54

You might be like "what kind of mess is this that some of them have cute names and some of them have numbers?" well, this is a mix of makeup geek, morphe, and mac eyeshadows. And although I love morphe shadows- I hate that they have numbers instead of names. I've considered naming them for myself...

I'm going to use a few brushes for this look- only because I know not everybody has a bajillion brushes sitting around and if you invest in a few good ones I think you can get farther than you might think.

Peach smoothie and Crème Brûlée (1 & 2) will be applied in a windshield wiper motion and then blended even more with small circles. I do this with a large fluffy brush ( brush #3  below). this is just a transition shade. Then I went in with the same brush and applied some of 11 (3). It almost comes out more brown than red when blended but I love that little hint of cranberry!

Latte and swiss chocolate (4 & 5) will be applied with a smaller blending brush ( brush #2 below ) in a V shape on the outer corner of your eye. Start with minimal color then build up, and blend blend blend! I will sometimes blend with the large brush after applying darker colors if I've got weird lines going on. Mocha (6) can be applied with the smaller blending brush and again worked into a v-shape in your crease.

Just because I was feel in funky and fall I used 47 (7) as a lid color and applied with a flat shader brush. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture but if you have the naked palette that brush will do the trick. I then packed number  glamorous (8) on with that same shader brush to give it a gold finish. 54 (9) was for the inner corner of my eye and the highlight under my brow arch.

Then before I apply mascara and lashes I use a pencil brush (#1 below) under my waterline area, and blend into that lower lash line. I used latte and swiss chocolate (4 & 5)

WHEW! this would be easier in video form for sure...
these brushes are some of all ALL TIME FAVORITES. Blending brushes are my jam- if you're gonna invest in some brushes- I would choose blending brushes. I'll talk about them in detail in my favorites post. But if you're looking for them here are the brushes or something like them (for number 3)
ONE     TWO   THREE
Now brows! I'm not going to go into detail in this post about how I do my brows (but if you're interested, I could?) Basically, I use and angle brush and dip brow (aka my baby love). I don't know what I did without dip brow- but I can tell you my brow game was much weaker...
I use chocolate and recently use a little soft brown as well. Shoutout to ABH for finally making soft brown into a dip brow shade- and shoutout to my mom for buying me a new dip brow. Have I said dip brow enough yet?
I only included the brow wiz in this post because of the spoolie. It's like a little twisty brush that looks like THIS, and the brow wiz has one attached. I don't know what I did before spoolies either- they are AMAZING. I'll say this- whether you make your brows crazy strong, just add a little powder or go all natural: BRUSH YO BROWS. So important in my opinion.
Gimme brow is newer for me and I LURV it. I use it when I'm too lazy to fully fill in my brows, or to thicken them up over my regular routine. And it has the cutest little brush....cause obviously cute is important.

For lips I ued NYX. I love me some nyx- awesome price point. So of course I horde their lip products. It doesn't look so dark in the picture based on the lighting I used but it was darker in person.
The soft matte lip creme is awesome. It smells like cupcakes (to me) and very soft. Not as drying as most mattes ( but to be fair, Im not picky about dryness. I love mattes more than anything it seems like). This is one of the darker shades in Copenhagen. I do recommend either a lip liner before this guy, or using a lip brush OR a very steady hand. Getting dark lipstick all over yo face isn't cute.
I then coated it with a butter gloss. Let's stop for a second and talk about how much I love their butter gloss. OH MY GOSH SO MUCH. I have been buying lipgloss since I was like 5 (not a joke, my parents made me this way) and I can say that with as many as I have bought- the butter gloss is my favorite gloss. I know. It is shocking. But it's awesome and noms and only 5 bucks. And yes- you can find this stuff at target. Again- awesome.

I'd love to hear what you think, and if you have any fall things you love, or any questions. I'm not one of those people who get's creeped out by a stranger commenting on blog things (unless it's a creepy post of course...) so comment away whether we are friends,or you just happened upon this post! Seriously though. Let's chat about makeup because I love it.
PS. sorry for these pics being so "shmoo". I have one place in my house with decent lighting, and a broken DSLR. Needless to say- I did what I could haha. maybe one day I will acquire a makeup light and a better lens.

Things I didn't mention this time:
